Currently, GMM does not recommend DURACERAM® for application on metal bakeware. The reason for this is bakeware coatings need to be more flexible than coatings for cookware or small electric appliances. As DURACERAM® is extremely hard, it may chip off if used on low-gauge bakeware that can be easily and unintentionally bent in a consumer kitchen. GMM expects to be able to roll out DURACERAM® in the near future for bakeware as our innovations continue.
For bakeware clients who would like to use ceramic coatings today, GMM recommends CERAM-X®, a more flexible “hybrid ceramic” coating designed specifically for bakeware:
